BBV offers bookbinding tuition to Wounded, Injured and Sick veterans of the services to aid their recovery through its therapeutic benefits, and to help them transition to civilian life by gaining internationally recognised qualifications.
The first to gain this qualification in the UK, Wendy Lagden, earned a Distinction in her C&G Level 3 Bookbinding, and was presented with her Diploma by Captain Alison Towler of the Royal Navy, President of the Association of Wrens on 10th December. As well as being a huge achievement for Wendy, an ex-aircraft engineer in the Royal Navy who was discharged with MS in 2005, this was an important milestone in the history of the charity and we are enormously grateful to our sponsors for their support.
